Maria was a huge help in planning our ceremony details. My husband and I had both lost a parent to cancer and including them in our ceremony was very important to us. She helped with sensitive wording and ideas. She also captured our story beautifully with her wording for our ceremony. We sent many emails back and forward and nothing was too much trouble for her. Maria was very easy to deal with in the lead up to our wedding day and was more than happy to accommodate any suggestions we made. It was wonderful that Maria was familiar with the area as well and suggested spots for the ceremony and what would work on the day. We had Maria as our celebrant for our outdoor wedding at the Willows in Melbourne. She was perfect in every way. Guests commented on what a fantastic job she did. Her ceremony was warm and personal. From the moment we met you we knew your easy going, fun, yet professional approach was exactly what we were looking for in a celebrant. Your relaxed approach made it a pleasure to deal with you, however the real test was when the weather turned bad and we needed to look at alternative options, minutes prior to the ceremony. What could have been very stressful was made mildly inconvenient through your calm handling of the situation. Your flexibility in liaising with the venue's manager meant an easy solution was found. Your positive outlook and versatile nature meant the situation was handled with a minimum of fuss, more importantly we weren’t stressed as a result.
The ceremony itself, although a bit of blur now, was exactly want we wanted, a relaxed informal yet, structured exchanging of vows; your guidance through everything meant minimal stress again.
We both think you are a lovely person and were ideal for what we were looking for. However we had no idea how much your contribution would ensure our day was exactly as we wanted. I was dreading the day that mum would pass away but the way the service was conducted - and the way the service and funeral was introduced and presented by yourself was excellent.
